Sevika Sangham

The Mar Thoma Suvishesha Sevika Sanghom, established in 1919 under the visionary leadership of Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Thoma Suffragan Metropolitan, serves as the women’s fellowship of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church. Since its inception, the organization has been a beacon of empowerment, faith, and service, dedicated to fostering spiritual growth and active participation of women in the church’s mission.

Guided by the central motto “Service and Evangelism in the life and mission of the Mar Thoma Church,” the Sevika Sanghom encourages women to deepen their relationship with God through regular meetings, Bible studies, and retreats. Beyond spiritual enrichment, it also extends its ministry into social and charitable service.

Today, the Sevika Sanghom stands as a vibrant global network with branches in every parish of the Mar Thoma Church, continuing to uphold its commitment to faith, fellowship, and service. Through its diverse initiatives, it empowers women to be leaders and agents of change, embodying Christ’s compassion and love in their communities.
