Edavaka Mission

The Edavaka Mission is the parish-level organization of the Mar Thoma Voluntary Evangelists’ Association (MTVEA), which is an official body of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church. The MTVEA was founded in 1924 with the purpose of encouraging every believer to be a missionary and a witness to Jesus Christ in their daily life. Its motto is “You will be my witnesses.”
The seven-pronged program of the Mar Thoma Voluntary Evangelists’ Association (MTVEA) include

  1. Intercession
  2. Bible Study
  3. Sharing of Experience
  4. House Visit
  5. Serving the Sick and the Needy
  6. Conduct of Prayer Meetings
  7. Gospel Work among People of Other Faiths and Ideologies

The Edavaka Mission seeks to strengthen Christian fellowship and promote evangelism. Its core aim is to spread the Gospel and serve the local community in the spirit of Christian love.

The Trinity Mar Thoma Church, Hamilton Edavaka Mission was started in 2025. Regular meetings are held once every three months, providing members with an opportunity to pray together and study God’s Word.
